UNIPOL TOWER WINS THE CTBUH 2024 AWARD OF EXCELLENCE AND THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY AWARD 2024

Unipol Tower received the prestigious Award of Excellence from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat – CTBUH, in the Tall Building 100-199 metres category at the CTBUH 2024 International Conference, that was held from the 23 to the 27 September between London and Paris, which every year involves the participation of more than 1300 delegates from 50 different countries all over the world. In the 2024 edition the Unipol Tower was the only new Italian building among the award winners in the 20 categories. The CTBUH Annual Awards is global recognition that rewards projects that have made an extraordinary contribution to progress in tall buildings and the urban environment by achieving the highest sustainability standards.
Presenting the Unipol Tower project and collecting the award, in addition to Michele Olivieri, Atelier Unit Director and MCA Design Leader – Mario Cucinella Architects, the following people also took part.

Also from the CTBUH, the Tower was awarded another very important recognition, the GLOBAL COMMUNITY AWARD 2024, or the “popular jury” prize in its Tall Building 100-199 mt category, beating other award-winning international projects.

Representing the Unipol Group were Giuseppe Lobalsamo, Real Estate Director, Massimiliano Morrone Head of Real Estate Asset, Investment & Technical Management; Marco Poncetta, Head of Construction Management and Maurizio Castellina (Chair of Meridiano Secondo, a company in the Group and owner of the building).
The CTBUH, Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, is an international non-profit organisation founded in 1969 in Chicago whose mission is to study and disclose all aspects of planning, design and construction of tall buildings. Every year since 2002 the prestigious jury of the CTBUH has presented the Awards of Excellence in different categories, such as the Best Tall Building, Urban Habitat, Future Project etc.

After 2 years of the prize being awarded to De Castillia 23 in the category of the Best Tall Building under 100 metres, recognition to the Unipol Tower is a new important milestone for the real estate Management of the Unipol Group: as well as being the latest most important addition to the Porta Nuova area, despite the fact that it has just been completed the Tower has already become a new landmark that is recognised and appreciated on a global level.
